On Friday, Barmer is expected to reach a scorching 48 degrees Celsius, following yesterday's record of 48.8 degrees Celsius – the highest temperature recorded in the country this year. The relentless heat has left northern India, including eight states, grappling with temperatures consistently above 43 degrees Celsius. Gujarat is also experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures surpassing 45 degrees Celsius. Uttar Pradesh, Haryana weather, and the Delhi-NCR region are similarly facing the brunt of the heatwave, leaving residents struggling to cope with the oppressive conditions.

Today Weather Forecast for Rajasthan:

  1. Jaipur: The capital city will see clear skies and intense heat today, with a maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 32 degrees Celsius.
  2. Udaipur: Udaipur will also experience clear skies and a persistent heatwave, with temperatures ranging from a high of 44 degrees Celsius to a low of 29 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD.
  3. Chittorgarh: Chittorgarh will continue to endure the heatwave, with temperatures expected to peak at 46 degrees Celsius and drop to 29 degrees Celsius at the lowest.
  4. Bikaner: Bikaner will remain under the grip of the heatwave, with strong hot winds likely. The maximum temperature is forecasted at 47 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be around 32 degrees Celsius.
  5. Ajmer: Ajmer is likely to experience strong hot winds as well, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 44 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 30 degrees Celsius.
  6. Kota: Kota will see a continuation of the heatwave, with temperatures expected to reach a high of 46 degrees Celsius and a low of 33 degrees Celsius.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and avoid exposure to the severe heat during peak hours. The ongoing heatwave serves as a stark reminder of the escalating impacts of climate change, demanding immediate and sustained action.
