Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday and Thursday. The weather department has issued a red alert for rainfall in many districts of the state. Heavy rain is particularly anticipated in Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau, Deoria, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, and surrounding areas.
Heavy rainfall is also expected in Azamgarh and Ballia districts. Residents are advised to exercise caution. The rain could lead to flood-like situations, affecting transportation and daily activities.
