Rainfall continues across Madhya Pradesh, with varying intensities in different areas. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is expected to become active again in the state, leading to renewed periods of rain in several districts. Following August 19th, monsoon activities are predicted to intensify, particularly affecting the eastern regions of the state, including Jabalpur, Rewa weather, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions.
The IMD has issued a weather alert due to the formation of a low-pressure area and the development of new weather systems, which may result in heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several districts and villages.
The IMD has forecasted rain in various districts of Madhya Pradesh today, with some areas under alert. The department predicts thunderstorms and heavy rain in Sagar, Raisen, Sehore, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Singrauli, Anuppur, Shahdol, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Panna, Damoh, and Chhatarpur. Additionally, alerts have been issued for Bhopal, Vidisha, Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad), Rajgarh, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Tikamgarh, Niwari, and Maihar.
