The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall (≥ 20 cm) with extremely heavy falls at isolated locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa for July 25. In addition, heavy to very heavy rainfall (≥ 12 cm) is expected at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Coastal Karnataka. Several regions, including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Kerala & Mahe, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka, are likely to experience heavy rainfall (≥ 7 cm).
IMD has issued warnings for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning at isolated spots in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh weather, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over Kerala & Mahe, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, and Telangana. Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal can expect isolated to scattered showers over the next five days.
Areas With Significant Rainfall Yesterday: On July 24, extremely heavy rainfall was recorded at isolated locations in the Gujarat region. Additionally, heavy to very heavy rainfall was observed at some places. Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and East Madhya Pradesh also experienced heavy rainfall at isolated locations.
