MP Weather Update: The monsoon has picked up pace across various parts of Madhya Pradesh, bringing heavy rainfall to many areas. While Gwalior and Chambal are experiencing consistent showers, the Malwa and Nimar regions remain dry. Meteorologists have predicted more rain for the Gwalior-Chambal region, leading to an alert being issued for 15 districts. This evening is also expected to see more rainy conditions.
According to the weather department, districts like Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Satna, Rewa, Vidisha, Jabalpur, and Bhopal are likely to experience heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that a strong monsoon system has developed, which will affect around 38 districts across Madhya Pradesh weather, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. A warning has been issued due to the potential risk of flooding in the coming days.
This monsoon system, considered the most active of September, is now in its final phase. However, before it retreats, it is expected to bring widespread rain across various parts of Madhya Pradesh. The system will result in heavy showers in Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Indore, Khargone, Khandwa, Barwani, and Ujjain, prompting the weather department to issue alerts for these areas.
